May 26-28, 2017 - Southern Moldova & Romania - My brother, Doug, showed up in Moldova, so we took a short trip to Buchareșt, Romania and areas nearby.
November 19 & 20, 2016 - Biertan & Brasov, Romania - I took a little group tour to Romania and visited two cities. It was a very nice, two-day trip, with one night in a hotel for only 55 Euros, with Travel Point in Chisinau.
February 20, 2016 - Romania, Bulgaria, Greece & Turkey - I spent two weeks backpacking from Moldova to Athens and back on trains and buses, and took a couple thousand photos with my iPhone. I leave my DSLR and two beautiful lenses at home on these trips, and certainly miss many great photographs. But I get many more with the cell phone, because as I like to say; "The best camera you have is the camera you have with you," and that big ol' Nikon is just too heavy to tote around.
