Take the Lake
Begun in 2009, this four-day event with four "Personal Endurance Challenges attracts more than 1,000 participants. www.Takethelake.org 
Bikes! - Recruited people to decorate a dozen bicycles and placed them on residents' lawns for a fundraiser.

CC Drops a Ton
In 2005, challenged county residents to lose "a ton" of weight. Thousands participated by pledging five healthy habits. 
Drive Alive Columbus County
In 2009 organized monthlong awareness campaign to help reduce motor vehicle deaths. 
Fabric of Columbus County
In 2003 compiled thousands of photographs for a wall-sized American flag "rented" to area businesses and sold prints for a chamber fundraiser. |
Walk With Jesus
In 2012, invited 1,000 people after Easter sunrise service to handwrite with chalk the entire New Testament on city's sidewalk. Website 
Whiteville Independence Day
In 2001, rallied hundreds to handwrite massive copy of Declaration of Independence in less than 3 minutes. |
Carolina Home Companion
In 2003, produced fundraiser stage play ala "Prairie Home Companion." 
Spend March in Columbus
In 2003, developed a Spend-Local campaign for local chamber that was used for three years. 
In 2004 organized a sidewalk art festival at N.C. Museum of Forestry.
